Interior Conference Final Tied at One

PENTICTON. B.C.  APRIL 1st. 2017

The Penticton Vees came out determined to tie the BCHL Interior Conference final series up  and they did with a 4-2 win over the Vernon Vipers. The Vees scored a pair of power play goals in the opening period to jump out to a 2-0 lead. Mitch Meek and Nicholas Jones scoring for Penticton.

In the 2nd period, the Vipers bounced back with two goals near the midway mark to tie the game up. Cameron Trott and Jesse Lansdell would help the Snakes draw even. But they wouldn’t get out of the middle frame with a tie score as Taylor Sanheim would add another for the Vees again on the power play to make it 3-2 with 1:12 left in the second.

In the 3rd period, the Vees closed the door and Jared Nash would score the insurance goal to give the Vees a 4-2 win and a tied up series with Games 3 and 4 going in Vernon on Monday and Tuesday night from Kal Tire Place.
