vipers take millionaires

It didn't start well for the Vernon Vipers in Quesnel on Saturday night, after 20 minutes of hockey, the Millionaires were up 2-0. Thanks to a power play goal not even two minutes into the second, by Isaac Smeltzer from Ryan Kakoske and Greg Beller, the Vipers were able to get on the score board and started to gain momentum. Unfortunately Quesnel was able to answer back about five minutes later to be up on the Vipers 3-1, but that's as far as Quesnel would go. Before the second was over the Vipers were able to close to get another goal, this time by Rob Short from Travis Brisebois and Isaac Smeltzer to end the second 3-2. Both teams came out to play in the third but just about half way through the period a goal by Brock Palasty from Rob Short and Braden Pimm tied the game and sent it into overtime. The Vipers didn't waste anytime when the went into overtime with the Millionaires and at the 1:40 mark in OT a goal by Connor Jones from Kellen Jones ended the game 4-3 Vernon.
Next up for the Vipers is a home game this Sunday at 2:00pm where your Vernon Vipers will host the Alberni Valley Bulldogs. Children 12 and under get in free with the purchase of an adult ticket.
