FEBRUARY 27, 2016 – VERNON, B.C.

The Vernon Vipers secured a playoff spot with a 7-2 win in their final regular season game against the Trail Smoke Eaters. The Smokies put a scare into the Vipers early in the game when Trail’s Bennett Morrison scored just over a minute into the first period. But the Snakes would come back with four unanswered goals including two from Liam Finlay and singles from Odeen Tufto and Jimmy Lambert. Vernon would add three more including another goal from Finlay who would net the hat-trick. Vernon was potent on the power play scoring three times on six opportunities.
