Vipers Force Game 7 vs Vees

Over 3100 fans at Kal Tire Place cheered on the Vernon Vipers as they defeated the Penticton Vees 5-1 to win game six and force a seventh and final game in Penticton on Monday Night. The Vipers opened the scoring early in the first period with a power play goal scored by Steve Jandric, his 8th of the playoffs.

Vernon would add two more goals in the middle frame, Cooper Watson scored his second of the post season scoring along the goal line and Niko Karamanis added another one just 16 seconds later to give the Vipers a 3-1 lead. The Vees would get on the scoreboard late in the second period with Mitch Meek scoring a top shelf wrister from the slot that beat Darion Hanson over the shoulder.

In the 3rd period…Jimmy Lambert and Jesse Lansdell would  also score for the Snakes beating Mat Robson late in the third period. Tempers would boil over in the last three minutes of the game with a number of fights breaking out.
