Vipers Host Wenatchee Tonight

VERNON, B.C.  FEBRUARY 10th, 2017

It’s a date that’s most likely been circled on many Vipers fans calendar and its finally here as the Vernon Vipers (27-16-4-5) welcome the BCHL leading Wenatchee Wild (38-8-0-4) Friday night at Kal Tire Place. The Vipers start off an important four game homestand that will see 2 of the top 4 teams in the BCHL come calling.

The Vipers admittedly weren’t very good on Tuesday night in a 3-0 loss to Merritt. The Snakes were shut out for just the second time all year and the first time since the first week of November. The Vipers are 5-3-1-1 in their last 10 games, 9 points ahead of Trail with 6 games left. Despite the latest result the Vipers are have at least one point in 7 of their last 10 games.

The Wenatchee Wild make their first and only visit to Kal Tire Place on a 3 game winning streak. They are tops in the BCHL in goals for by a wide margin with 252. The next closest is Powell River at 222. The Wild have an unprecedented 10 shutouts this season. They have 8 players with 40 plus points. Wenatchee is unbeaten in regulation at home, but on the road are just 5 games above .500.

Head to head Wenatchee has two wins over the Vipers this season by a combined score of 10-4.
