Vipers Win Game 1 Of Interior Conference Final

The Vernon Vipers opened the Interior Conference Finals with a 3-2 win over the Penticton Vees in the opening game of the BCHL Interior Conference Finals. Steven Jandric opening the scoring with a wrap around just over 3 minutes into the 1st period to get the early lead. Penticton would respond with a goal from Gabe Bast at the 8 minute mark to tie up the game at one-all. Vernon would go up 2-1 on a power play marker from Cameron Trott who unleashed a rocket to give the snakes the lead.

In the second period, the Vees Tyler Ward would tie the game at 2-all on a goal at 5:46 of the middle frame. The Vipers would once again take the lead with Austin Adamson scoring the game win just 1:45 into the 3rd period. The Snakes would hold on for the win despite being shorthanded in the final minute as well as a Vees goal dissallowed due to it being hit out of the air with a high stick.
