A Wild End To Viper’s Season

The Vernon Vipers couldn’t hold back the Wenatchee Wild who rallied to win Game 6 in OT by a 4-3 score and take the best of seven series 4- games-to-2.

The Vipers had jumped out to a 3-1 lead after the first period and were able to keep the lead intact in the second but the wheels fell off in the 3rd period when the Wild’s offense kicked in with 3 unanswered goals, including the game winner early in overtime.  The Vipers fought off 2 Wild power plays in the last 5 minutes of the game to force the extra period.

The Wild out-shot the Vipers 59-26, earning Vernon goalie Ty Taylor Third Star keeping the Snakes in it all the time in the disappointing loss.

The Vipers would like to thank all the players and their fans for a tremendous season!
