Vernon, BC: The Vernon Vipers are proud to announce that Jack Judson and Alex Swetlikoff have been invited to Team Canada West Camp in Calgary from December 3rd to 5th.
For Swetlikoff, this is second invitation to camp. He was apart of the team last year that won gold. “I’m very honoured to be going to camp. Any time you have the opportunity to represent your country and wear the maple leaf, its exciting,” the Kelowna product says. Swetlikoff has had a great start to his sophomore season with the Vipers, tallying 6 goals and 12 assists.
Jack Judson will make his first trip to camp and deservedly so. He leads the Vipers in points with 4 goals and 17 assists. “The chance to represent my country and compete at an international tournament would be one of the most proud and exciting moments of my life,” says Judson.
He goes on to say, “I owe the opportunity to all my past and present teammates and coaches. I hope I can make everyone in Vernon and at home proud.”
Team Canada West are the defending god medalists after defeated the US 5-1.
This year’s World Junior A Challenge goes from December 9th to 16th in Bonnyville Alberta.
