Vernon Vipers Host West Kelowna

The Vernon Vipers look to regroup tonight when they play host to the West Kelowna Warriors at 6pm tonight at Kal Tire Place. The Vipers are coming off a 3-1 loss to the Wenatchee Wild the night before in what was an entertaining if not frustrating game for the Snakes.

Both teams battled to a scoreless draw after the first period. But a second period let down cost the Vipers three goals, putting them down 3-zip after the second period. Despite having a few good scoring opportunities, the game first star Anthony Yamnitsky shut the door making several stellar saves.

In the 3rd period, Viper forward Austin Adamson would score his 15th of the season breaking Yamnitsky’s shut-out bid. The Vernon Vipers record slips to 27-17-5-4 good for 63 points. A Viper win and a Trail loss would secure 2nd place for the Vipers and a first round bye in the playoffs.

Tonight’s game vs the Wenatchee Wild goes at 6pm tonight at Kal Tire Place!
