Vipers Aquire Brushett & Watson

VERNON, B.C. SEPTEMBER 23, 2016 – The Vernon Vipers are pleased to announce the addition of two players to their roster. Forward Ryan Brushett(18) and Defenseman Cooper Watson(20) have joined the Snakes ahead of the BCHL Showcase this weekend.

Brushett joins the club after playing last season in the USHL with stops in Sioux Falls and Bloomington. The product of Verdun Quebec is appeared in 47 games last season and has secured a scholarship to Providence College for next season.

Watson who hails from Appleton Wisconsin is a 134 game veteran of the USHL after spending parts of three seasons in Waterloo and Madison. The 6’3 180 pound left shot defenceman has also secured a scholarship for next season to Michigan Tech.

In order to make room for both players the Vipers have announced a couple of additional roster moves. Nic Rasovic has been moved to the Injury Reserve list and expected to miss a few weeks with injury while Vernon has released Defenseman Callum Volpe.

The Vipers would like to welcome Cooper and Ryan to the team and thank Callum for his time as a Viper and wish him the best of luck moving forward
