Vipers in must win situation in afternoon battle with Spruce Kings

The 2nd place Prince George Spruce Kings (32-19-2-4) visit the 5th place Vernon Vipers (27-26-1-2) in their seventh and final meeting of the regular season.

 

The season series is tied 3-3

Since the 2002-03 season Vernon is 35-17-1-4 vs. Prince George

 

Since the 2003-04 season Vernon is 13-4-1-4 at home vs. Prince George

                

Today is the Spruce Kings sixth and final game of a six game road trip where they are currently 4-1.  The Spruce Kings are riding a two game winning streak after a 4-3 overtime win in Trail last night.  Prince George has won seven of their last eight away from home where they are 14-10-2-3.  PG sits tied with Merritt for 2nd place where they have won four of their last five games.

Paul De Jersey (40-54-94) leads the Spruce Kings in scoring & in goals.

 

The Vipers return home after a three game road trip where they went 0-3 falling 3-1 last night in Westside.  Vernon sits in 5th place still seven points back of 4th place Chilliwack, a win by the Chiefs or a loss by the Vipers and the Vipers playoff run-season will come to an end.  The Vipers have won eight straight at home where they are 20-6-1-1 The Vipers have two wins in their last eight games will travel to Chilliwack to battle the Chiefs Tuesday night.
